I'll be honest with you, this stream *definitely* didn't turn out the way I figured it would. I kind of expected this to be a quick one-and-done, where I'd flail around in Chakan, unable to make any meaningful progress before just calling it a day. Honestly, that was all that was really expected of me for this one -- KI themself even said that they just wanted to make a point that Chakan was a bad game.

But here's the thing, I managed to get through the two of those first four worlds with little problem, before I hit a wall with the other two. But as the night pressed on, and I continued to chip away at the game's first half until... against all odds, I managed to make it to the second half of the game, which honestly kind of frightened me. Like, where do I go from here? Do I continue? Do I just call it quits regardless, since I only intended to do one stream originally?

Either way, I clearly didn't have the stamina to finish up the game that night. But fortunately, "interrupt saves" are essentially one of the two "legitimate" ways I'm allowed to use save states for tackling these games -- after all, it's just the same as leaving the console on in the background, just with the added benefit of not running up your power bill or having to worry about getting hit with a power outage while you're not looking. For those of you keeping track at home, using save states in lieu of passwords/save functions is the other way I'm generally allowed to beat these games and have it "count".

So, I guess Chakan is turning into a full-on playthrough now. I'm kind of shocked, but frankly, I probably shouldn't put the progress I managed to make to waste. I wonder if which ending I'll get -- I'll obviously be aiming for the good ending, if only because of how outright baffling it is. I should also probably end up asking my audience whether or not they'd be up for me using a save state to showcase the other ending, once my "proper" playthrough is said and done. But I guess we'll deal with that on Sunday.
