awesome metroidvania

among the "you're trapped in a sci-fi setting with monsters on the loose", Genotype is high up there with Cosmodread and The Persistence in the VR scene. unlike those 2, it's not set in space but in Antarctica and it's not a roguelike with ever changing level design, but set in stone which make it all the more fun to explore and find secret entrances and other routes and try to unlock further areas... it's also a bit easier and lot more enjoyable

The Persistence is not on Quest and yet its heavy neon soft glow postprocessing looks show here on Quest. that's impressive.

combat got updated for the better, damaged foes get slower to attack but also enemies can heal each other...

Environments feel just great and the story is good.

achievements very hard to come by, still didn't get any!

A huge step up for the studio previously known for a stationary wave shooter...
