This is a little late but here is a look at the lore behind the new claymore Song of Broken Pines. We don't actually learn a lot of details from the sword, but it does have some implications -- both for what's coming up and what one of the game's major themes are going to be.
The weapon set is clearly going to be giving us a look into the true history of Mondestat which will become important later. It's also setting up the church as a larger focus -- after all, we've been getting a lot of characters and information related to the church lately.
Plus, we're seeing the importance of keeping history close -- both from the weapon series and Zhongli. Who knows how that will develop in the long run.

But, all that aside, I'd like to now apologize for the quality of the video -- my actually computer had so to go to the computer hospital and it's taking a long time to get back so the editing/gameplay quality may be a little scuffed (plus, I don't have my end screens or anything.) I don't know when we'll get back to the old quality but for a while I hope you're okay with this.
