Gesture Methods The New Sign Language - #GamesUR US Conference 2016
Gesture technology seems to be everywhere these days, with gesture products being released for video games, personal computers, home automation, and more. Although companies are betting on gestures as the next wave of human computer interaction, there is a lot of learning that still needs to be done. UX testing this kind of technology was unchartered territory in the not so distant past, but as gesture games increase, so is the need to put them in front of users early in the development process. In this talk, researchers will present lessons learned from over 2 years of gesture game usability testing with the Intel RealSense camera. The focus of this talk will be on performing rounds of user testing with gestures and the special challenges that poses.
