So time to take on Maylene, after taking on the puzzle which at the time was confusing, but now makes sense. I battled Maylene, and yeah, I got my butt kicked by bulk up Lucario!

So after a brief intermission to grind and swap out a team member, Gwydion joined the team to mop up and clinch us victory.

After that we headed south to Pestoria City. Next time I maydo an "Intermission episode" where I do some exploring of the underground, as it is VASTLY different from what I remember in the older Diamond & Pearl games. Or I may crack on with the main story.
