Oh and Getting Over It is Bennett Foddy's game(I assume). Hopefully he won't be upset that I paid Humble Bundle $12 to get his game only to try to break it.

I claim no responsibility if anything bizarre happens to your game or machine if you start jacking around with the registry. I can safely say that nothing has happened to my system(yet).

In a nutshell, the game saves your progress as a readable XML file in hex format. You can export the game's registry entries at any time while you are playing the game since it is saving 24/7. If you fall, you import that reg file AFTER closing the game. Then, restart it up, and bam - progress returned.

Best method for now: leave RegEdit open. Pause the game and alt-tab to RegEdit when you are at a spot you want to save. Export the game's registry to a file(preferrably one you can get quick access to). If you fall, close the game, run the reg file you exported(or use RegEdit import function), then run the game again.

Any hex editor or even the RegEdit itself can be used to give yourself fake progress if you really wanted to.

Someone needs to document the safe positions to change. This video is just a starting point that I hope you find interesting enough to start digging into the saves a bit.
