Took a small break from my other projects to code this from scratch in about 3 hours.

Zip file contains both an .exe if you want to try try it as well as the GMZ you can import into Game Maker Studio. Since I have the Pro version, I have no idea if it will work in the free version.

Not much is commented in the code. Sorry. You also still have to code what happens when you press enter or whatever your select button would be.
