Timing starts when I first control Gex and timing ends when the "Congratulations!" screen appears after the blackout of the final boss. Final time is around 2:15:01.50. RTA timing is around 2:15:09.29.

Down from 2:22:00 to 2:15:01 using the new slide TV cancel glitch. Pleased with the progress so far. This new major trick saves a lot of time in this category. Here are 2 videos you should watch if you don’t know this trick.

Didn’t expect to get this sort of run so soon. Finished Lake Flaccid in 1:04:26 which is my best pace ever entering Slappy Valley. The second half of the run though was nerve racking to say the least. Without looking at my splits at the end, I thought I subbed 2:15 but I guess me wasting a lot of time on certain TV cancels in the 2nd half of the run prevented that from happening. Besides that, this whole run was solid and I am happy with this time. I might grind for 2:14 but this category is extremely brutal and punishing. I am more likely going to have to rely on getting the Holy Moses frame perfect TV cancel to get 2:14 which sucks considering it is 40 minutes in. Nonetheless, I’m glad this run happened. :)
