I decided to do this to finally have a run up on the “Multiple Gex Games” leaderboards on speedrun.com. After doing my first run of this, I noticed this is a long nerve-racking category because there are spots everywhere that you can loose minutes from one little mistake. You can also softlock at certain places in Gex 2 and 3. It feels nice to get a decent time. As a whole, this run has really good and bad parts. I was rusty in some parts of the run. Unfortunately my PS system is so bad that it takes minutes to load games so I can save over 10 minutes on this run by getting a better PS system. My game recorder (Game Capture HD) also can’t record properly in between games so I needed to record in real life to fix that problem and glue the videos together to the best of my ability (didn’t realize how blurry the videos were so sorry about that). Here are my thoughts on each game.

Gex 1
Final RTA Time: Around 1:28:27.56
Final SDA Time: Around 1:28:26.30
Bad run to start off the trilogy run. I’m not that good of a Gex 1 player compared to Gex 2 and 3. I still have a ways to go with this game and this category. The final bossfight was a total mess but on a good note, this run actually beats my old PB that was a 1:29:11.

Gex 2
Final SDA Time: Around 1:53:34.89
Final RTA Time: Around 1:53:38.95
Considering how the first half isn't that good as well as not going for the Out of Toons TV cancel, I’m happy how low this run’s time was and how good the 2nd half of this run was.

Gex 3
Final SDA Time: Around 2:27:27.60

I always shoot for sub 2:30 when doing a resetless Gex 3 run so I’m glad that I did that. I lost 2 minutes in Holy Moses though in a dumb way but great run for the most part.

This category can go down to a sub 5:40 run, possibly a sub 5:30 run. Improvement is likely in the future. My next speedrun will be Spyro 1 Any%.
