Giving My Homies Different Weapons (No Mods) | Saints Row
4A short video of me showing how one can give most in-game followers some more powerful weapons, such as the Platinum RPG and the Pimp Cane.
No mods were used here. I only used cheats to switch out the weapons in my inventory on the fly.
To elaborate, one must do the following;
1) Recruit one or more homies from the street (phone homies don't work as well, from my experience). Their weapon(s) must either be weaker or more basic (or both), like the VICE 9, NR4, Tombstone, etc.
2) Have the weapon you want to give to your homie(s) handy and equipped (for example, the Pimp Cane).
3) Activate a weapons cheat to "replace" the weapon that you currently have equipped (i.e. like the one for the Tombstone).
4) You will then "drop" the weapon that you previously had equipped (the Pimp Cane, in this case).
5) Allow one of your homies to pick up this dropped weapon. Rinse and repeat if you have more than one homie in your group.
**Going to your Weapons Cache will not result in any weapons being dropped on the ground here, which is a crucial step as it allows for one of your homies to pick up your desired weapon.
***Starting off from step 3 with a weapon from your Weapons Cache will NOT cause you to lose any weapons. Any weapons that have been given to your homies can still be retrieved from your Weapons Cache, allowing one to duplicate them.
