Giving the opponent no choices! (Learn to Play Chess Part 3: Forced Moves)
Hey everyone!
Welcome back to Basic Level Gaming! Today we continue on our learn to play chess series. Last week we touched briefly on Check and Checkmate, but today we take a look at a few advanced check situations. These positions on the board are definitely more advanced than I would expect anyone to be at this point, but the real lesson here is about forcing your opponent to do what you want them to. We go through several positions where the opponent only has one or at most two options to deal with your move.
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video, and don't forget to hit that subscribe button and turn on those notifications. We upload to this series every Tuesday and Wednesday! On Thursday we will look at ways to find the best move available. If we have time we will also start looking at some Openings, which are basically ways to start out the game to give yourself the best chances.
Please feel free to leave any feedback, questions, or ideas in the comments section below. I would leave to hear from everyone!
Thank you and see you Thursday!
