Deep Rock Galactic is one of those games that you just have to play, even if it's only once. I mean, it's space dwarves versus evil insect creatures - what could go wrong?

The in-game recipe for Glyphid Slammer keeps things simple. "An adventurous mix of a cheap, powerful ale with an equally cheap, powerful energy drink. The result is almost, but not quite, entirely undrinkable." We've recreated this 1:1 today to find out just how not quite entirely undrinkable it truly is, and because adding energy sugar to beer isn't necessarily a recipe for success, we've also got an improved version 😅

Jack's Improved Glyphid Slammer is like a Vodka Red Bull but for dwarves. While we've got those core two ingredients in there - cheap energy drink and powerful beer - we've combined the idea with that of a whisky sour to add a little more complexity than straight Demon and Godfather.

It may not have the ingredients you'd expect from a 'good' drink, but damn - we could really slorp these back as we drill for precious minerals on Hoxxes IV, then run screaming from the Glyphids we weren't prepared for.

INGREDIENTS

1.5 oz Bourbon
0.5 oz Lemon Juice
0.75 oz Energy Syrup
3.5 oz High-Alcohol Lager
Cheap, strong beer
Cheap, strong energy drink
