The new features arrived in September , including one that is not seen, but is felt: performance improved over the GNOME 40 that arrived in March .
Although they have also taken the opportunity to improve GNOME Shell, most of the changes they have made in GNOME 41.2 are related to some of their applications , such as the Cheese webcam app, the new Connections application, Eye of GNOME, settings initial, the control center, Maps, Terminal and the snapshot tool, all of them receiving minor corrections.
GNOME 41.2 now available
GNOME Software 41.2 can now reload the details of an application only when the user does not install or remove the application. On the other hand, the disk usage calculation has been improved, the add-ons section, which no longer shows add-ons for different applications, and an unexpected shutdown has been corrected.
The project has taken advantage of this launch to correct bugs in many of its apps, such as Boxes, in which they have fixed a problem that prevented the configuration of 3D acceleration, among others, or that Evince, already in 41.3, corrects the metadata and has removed the "Exit" button from the shortcut page. Another application that has been uploaded to version 41.3 has been GNOME Builder, and with this release they have improved support for flatpak packages.
GNOME 41.2 It is now available in is and this other link . Taking into account that many of the improvements arrive in the new versions of the applications, it is worth mentioning that some of them will soon arrive at Flathub. Later they will add the new packages to some Linux distributions, such as Arch Linux, Manjaro or Fedora.
