God of War: Ascension - odds and ends regarding Chapter 25 skip

0:00 - It seems that past the outer rim of the elevator shaft, there's an alternative magnetic ledge that sends Kratos to the top floor but not all the way on top of the shaft. Perhaps knowing this might make the setup for doing this jump slightly easier?
0:33 - So, what happens if you do the 1st part of the skip and then try to finish the elevator set piece normally? Using the grapple switch causes the camera go out of bounds for a moment after which it seems the 1st phase of the elevator set piece appears to start belatedly. Pulling the grapple switch reveals the wheel as usual. Accessing the wheel without the floor granted by the elevator is just barely possible if you try to use its prompt from the left side. This starts the pre-rendered cutscene as usual, but sadly, afterwards the game doesn't know what to do and time remains stopped forever without neither elevator or Kratos in sight. Last checkpoint is at the start of Chapter 25 as usual.
It's a pity this doesn't work because it would make this skip far more viable in RTA speedruns (at the cost of saving less time).
1:34 - This skip would become significantly easier if there was some alternative magnetic ledge that would take Kratos to the top floor early. There's a small chance that the edges of the X-shaped walkway would have a magnetic ledge on the top floor as well, so I tried accessing one of the ledges by jumping out of bounds. Sadly, at least without gaining a lot more height, it just zips you downward back to the mid-stop and then drops you out of bounds.
(Not on the vid: the elevator itself exists in unloaded darkness down below. You can survive the fall if you land on the floor of the elevator, but there is probably no way to return back to the mid-stop again afterwards.)
1:50 - So, is it possible to do the final jump of this skip while the elevator is present? Unfortunately, the death collision of the area is actually tied to the height of the elevator, which makes the previously shown Shield Jump-setup for this skip impossible. There's a chance that you might still be able to do this with a Shield Jump into Broken Destiny jump to get near the elevator shaft without losing as much height, but it would be both slower and harder.
Why is this relevant? Well, in this point in time, this would be the only theoretical way to do this skip on NG, since there's no way to get on top of the mid-stop without Ice Rage at the moment. On NG, you'd have to do the first part of the set piece normally and only skip the 2nd part with a magnetic ledge.
2:05 - mysterious loading-related softlock. I wonder if I skipped a trigger that tells the game to load the next area because of doing the zip to the upper floor? Or if this was just a random loading-related bug?
