God of War Ragnarok The Oarsmen Collectible Locations
The Oarsmen contains 7 Collectible Locations in God of War Ragnarok. This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in The Oarsmen Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.
Nornir Chests: 1
Legendary Chests: 1
Artifacts: 2
Lore: 1
Odin’s Ravens: 1
Fjortlund Vault Key Half: 1 (not tracked in region overview)
It’s recommended to collect everything after the story. Most regions can’t be completed on the first visit because they require certain skills from story progress.
How to Reach The Oarsmen : 00:00
In the north of “Lake of Nine” region you can climb over a wooden beam to reach “Shores of Nine” region. Then lift a big rock out of the way and follow the path. On the right are some vines you can burn with your Chaos Blades (just before a big wreckage you can crouch through). Follow the path behind the vines to reach The Oarsmen region.
#1 – Odin’s Raven : 02:00
In the first room, clear out the enemies and ignore the Nornir Chest for now. Climb up the wall behind the Nornir Chest, then clear out the next group of enemies and climb up the golden chain. Drop down the other side to find a big chain you must pull, this opens up the full region to grab the other collectibles. From where you pull that big chain you can see the raven sitting on the cliffs, next to a big Viking statue. It’s easier to hit if you climb back up the path you came from, then throw the axe from there.
#2 – Legendary Chest (Jewel of Yggdrasil – Amulet Fragment) : 03:00
After interacting with the big chains (same area as the Raven), a staircase will be revealed on the right. After going downstairs, the Legendary Chest is on the right.
#3 – Lore (Lore Marker – An Accursed Name / The Death of Helgi) : 04:20
To the left of the Legendary Chest.
#4 – Nornir Chest : 04:27
Now lift the gate that leads back into the first room where you entered the area. To the left of the gate also shoot the rubble with a green arrow, to blow up the rubble. Now you have access to all 3 Nornir Seals. You must hit them with the axe in quick succession. First, hit the one by the Mystic Gateway, left of the Chest. Second, hit the one opposite the Mystic Gateway in the starting area. You want to hit the third seal directly from where you stand when you hit the second seal, without running around. The 1st seal stays activated the longest, but the 2nd and 3rd seal turn back on very rapidly, hence you must hit those last two very quickly without running in between, which is only possible after you removed the rubble behind the gate. If the seals turn back on, repeat the process until you hit them all quickly enough.
#5 – Artifact (Stolen Treasures – Ankh) : 05:56
From the Legendary Chest turn right and go under the stairs, the artifact is hidden behind the stairs.
#6 – Artifact (Kvasir’s Poems – The Dead Do Not Ride) : 06:40
Behind the Nornir Chest, climb back up the same wall you climbed earlier. This time, you’ll find an Artifact at the top floor. The big chain you interacted with at the top of the area moved the floors, thereby placing the Artifact on this climbing path.
That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in The Oarsmen area in God of War Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarök is an action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released worldwide on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, marking the first cross-gen release in the series. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game is set in ancient Scandinavia and feature series protagonist Kratos (Christopher Judge) and his teenage son Atreus (Sunny Suljic). Serving as the finale to the Norse era of the series, the game covers Ragnarök, the eschatological event which is central to Norse mythology and was foretold to happen in the previous game after Kratos killed the Æsir god Baldur.
