INTRODUCTION:
The City of the Damned, a place of eternal damnation and torment located on a hellish dimension outside the spacetime continuum, the place where all evil souls are exiled to suffer eternal punishment, it is impossible to escape from Dis, in this place any kind of supernatural power is sealed and the creatures that inhabit it can not die to escape their torment.

The legends of the First Race tell that when the Primary Gods modeled the worlds a vast part of the primordial darkness condensed into a plane of existence that existed outside the flow of time, where the gods had no power and all the creatures both mortals and immortals exiled there would be condemned to eternal torment, for eons all kinds of supernatural creatures, even the gods that refused to be returned to their plane of existence were exiled and were stripped of power and hope.

The real danger of this plane is that it corrupts the souls of the exiles, you must escape before the corruption of Dis ends up possessing you, and given your connection with the Primary Source, although weakened, it could resonate through the Universe spreading corruption . By having your powers sealed you will have to find Astral Rifts, interdimensional disturbances which you can use to extract power to temporarily recharge your ability to project astral bolts , get in tune with ancestral relics and find a way to escape from the city.

In this plane you will also find captive souls, mystical spheres of astral energy similar in nature to those you have encountered in your travels, but being in the City of Dis these souls can corrupt you more Quickly.

Interdimensional rifts of unknown origin that traverse the structure of the universe, mixing the laws of other planes, it is possible to extract astral energy to temporarily recharge your powers.

These amphoras contain Ambrosia, they are brought to this plane through dimensional ruptures, by consuming them you will be able to recover part of your corrupted vital force by the contact of the inhabitants of Dis.

REVIEW:
This game is an upgraded version of Godkiller 2 from 2015, now using the MojonTwins MK2 Engine, with ingame music and new graphics. The game introduces an alternative timeline after the future events of Godkiller 3, the final episode of the GodKiller Trilogy, with a revelation that has caused the rewriting of reality itself. For more info about this series and storyline check out the previous upgraded game: Godkiller - New Timeline Edition 128k (2019): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un0vBJIMoy8

In this game you have to find 15 corrupted souls so these can be released. During the quest you will need to find keys for opening doors, and there is no extra keys, so be sure to not use a key on a door where it is possible to access the area from another side without using a key.

You will also need to find 3 relics you have to use:

- The Stygian Fire
- Chronolion
- The Runes Of Dis

While “Godkiller - New Timeline Edition 128k (2019)” was an enhanced version with more screens where you had to find 15 souls instead of 10 in the old version, Godkiller 2 (2020) seems to be quite similar in layout to the first version, and with the same stuff to find, but in the first version you also had to find 15 souls. Some of the objects has been replaced adding a twist, and it is a great update with much better graphics and now with ingame music.

You start unarmed but you can find ammo different places. There is always 20 shots when you collect ammo. Lost energy can also be refilled by finding this!

The blue dots on the ground, that was in the 2019 version, has been made white so now this color clash is gone from this, and it is a fine looking very detailed game to explore. It is slightly smaller than the previous game, but while you had infinite ammo in that game, you do not have that here.

The game looks and sounds good, it plays and controls well, and like in the previous game there is also nice intro and outro with some awesome artwork! Also a fair game (just like the first one) where you stand a chance for completing it, just don’t use the keys the wrong places.

Rating = 90%

The game was made by APSIS in 2020.
