Godlike Burger - 2 Minute Critiques!
0Godlike-Burger is a time-management sim in the vein of Cook-Serve-Delicious, but with an exceptional twist; you have to stealthily kill a percentage of your customers to produce the meats for your meals, after they pay of course. It can be a hectic game, but remember, not all customers have to be totally satisfied, as only those that survive your restaurant can leave negative reviews.
The concept is original and it has a healthy sense of humour, the gameplay is fast-paced and addictive, and the art style fits the theme perfectly. The hecticness scales with how well your restaurant performs, and there are tolerances in what is allowed, so with a bit of fore-thought, the game will remain manageable. Even if you are overwhelmed, the upgrades are persistent so if you die you can restart in a better position.
That said, the main issue with the game is that it is grindy and repetitive, without any clear goal or motivations. What you do at the end of the game is the exact same as at the start, just with added complexity. While there are plenty of upgrades available, they require high time investment, and many of them provide minimal tangible enhancement. Frustratingly, the game by design does not give enough time or resources to do everything properly, and has no qualms about randomly sabotaging you at the most inopportune times.
Overall, it is a decent strategy game with plenty of depth that will keep you entertained for a few short hours. However, the game needed more balance, variation and motivations to make the frustrations of the later game worthwhile to the player. If the stealth killing is what appeals to you about this game, the "Party Hard" game series does similar, and arguably does it better, but the novelty of this game combined with the pressure of the sim aspects still warrants it some respect.

During the day, different aliens arrive to taste those delicious burgers at your space restaurant. Well, or to be killed and turned into minced meat. The freezers don’t fill themselves, right? You can attack them head-on with your trusty meat cleaver or use a variety of traps to dispose of them in more creative ways.
At night you have time to upgrade kitchen appliances and traps, buy supplies and cook “secret sauces”. Maybe the police are starting to suspect you? Better relocate your flying restaurant to a different planet, or pay a little bribe. You can’t have pesky cops around while trying to become the galaxy’s most famous burger restaurant!
