At first I want to say this game has horrible keyboard controls thats mostly why I play so bad. If you have the possibility then play the game with a gamepad or something else.

Golden Axe was a very popular side scrolling Hack&Slay game released in the late 80s/early 90s.

In Golden Axe you take the role of one of three Heroes on a quest for revenge.
All of the heroes stories are somehow connected to the games end boss "Death Adder" and so they take on this Adventure alone or together.

I don't have much to say about this game, everything you see in this video is mostly what you do in the game the whole time, beat them up or let yourself be beaten up (like myself because I play so bad :P)

There are 3 gamemodes

Beginner, Arcade and The Duel.

Beginner what I play in the video is basically the "demo mode" where you play a few levels and have easier enemies but you can't play the whole campaign.

Arcade is the complete game with all its hard enemies,bosses and levels.

The Duel is some kind of training mode where you can play against some monsters in an arena until you die. The longer you live the harder the enemies get. In 2 player mode you fight against each other.

You can play this game in 2 player coop which is a lot of fun because thats the only thing I can remember doing with this game when I was a kid. Playing in coop mode with my brother.

If you have any chance to play this game I would recommend not playing the PC version like I did here. Amiga or Sega Mega Drive versions are the better choices.
