The new Golden Staff was changed from the last update.
Here are the old and new stats.
Its damage increased while attack speed decreased.
The same passive, "Endless Strike" but easier to achieve.
After doing two basic attacks, the effect from basic attack will be triggered twice.
Remember, damage will not increase on the second basic attack.
Only the effect that comes with the basic attack.

So what exactly is the "effect" that will be doubled by Endless Strike?
To better explain it, here are the tests that I made.

Miya's pa
Watch Miya's passive icon.
See how it jumps after two attacks.
Endless Strike allows Miya to reach full stack faster meaning faster attack speeed.

Helcurt's stinger gets three stacks after two basic attacks.
Karina's passive only needs two basic attacks to deal its true damage.
Roger's wolf from passive deals extra damage on his 2nd basic attack.
Karrie's passive is also easier to activate because of Endless Strike.
Demon Hunter Sword deals extra damage on every second basic attack.

Corrosion Scythe also works with Endless Strike.
That's a big 40% attack speed boost just from Corrosion Scythe's unique passive.
You can know Endless Strike is working when the icon disappears after the second attack.
If it doesn't disappear like this, it means nothing is triggering it.
Getting double lifesteal doesn't work.
Freya's passive doesn't work.
Moskov's passive doesn't work.
Argus' passive doesn't work.
Zilong' passive doesn't work.

Based from the tests we made, it seems Golden Staff + Demon Hunter + Corrosion Scythe is good combination.
Formidable attack speed, slow effect, lifesteal and extra damage from DHS.
So what is missing?
Critical Strike is what's missing.
The new Golden Staff will turn your critical strike stat into attack speed.
This means you get 0% critical chance when using Golden Staff.
Here we have 1.30 attack speed and 0% crit chance.

After buying Berserker Fury, no critical chance added on the stat.
Attack speed increased.
Let's try selling Golden Staff.
Critical chance is up by 25%.
