Fighting Vipers was developed by Sega AM2 and first released in arcades in 1995, before being ported to the Sega Saturn in 1996. It features a cast of characters, each with their own distinct fighting style and special moves, as well as destructible armor that can be broken off during fights.
As a first-time player on a quest to clear out his backlog, I share my initial impressions of Fighting Vipers, including the game's graphics and sound, as well as its difficulty and learning curve. I also talk about the game's legacy, and talk about how I feel it fits into the broader fighting game genre.
