My Retro Collection Got a HUGE Upgrade from VGM!
102I love Video Games Monthly - I think the service that VGM offers is a great option for people just building a retro collection, and the team at VGM has been nothing but good to me whenever I've had a problem.
But, as I've said in many, many VGM unboxings in the past: Not every box is going to have some crazy valuable game in it. Before this, I think my most valuable title I've received was Metroid on the NES. (Still is! See the text immediately following this!)
(Soooo...I was wrong! The paragraph below this was way off - I was a dumbass and looked up the Strategy Guide for the game and not the actual cartridge. I blame sleep deprivation and genuine excitement at the game title for when I looked up the value. It's still worth ~$14, so I still come out ahead this month, but it ISN'T the most valuable title - the video will remain, but the title, description, and pinned comment have been updated to reflect this. Total value this month finals out at around $54.)
The big one this month beats that by around $7. And it wasn't like it was the only good item this month - everything was in great shape, and I legitimately enjoyed 4 of the 5 games.
