[GPB] Moving to 60 degrees of controller span... (still beta 19)
I have to admit, trying to keep my wheel's degrees of rotation match the bike's actual handlebars lock was laughably idiotic of me. Not only it's a Logitech G27 (and that is already far enough from the definition of 'precise'), but using a narrow rim controller lowers the precision even further compared to the proper length bars (and I was too lazy to try and improvise them).
So, after re-igniting my interest in bikes thanks to the latest version of Motor Town adding one, I wanted to check back with good old GP Bikes. And I'm glad I did!
By the way, a wider wheel span also reduces the "FFB compression" phenomenon at least on Logitech, so the FFB spikes are not as violent as they were in the 40° to 50° degrees of rotation range.
No idea why, but HDR wasn't picked up by ShadowPlay, so it's only in "glorious" SDR... Not a huge loss for a small clip, but still.
I'm positively impressed how GP Bikes was probably the first sim out there to natively support HDR10. Back at the time I had no idea what that option was and thought it's something like the old tonemapping fad that hit photography a while ago.
Too bad that to get most of the HDR support you need to use the latest GPB version, and for me the bike is just way too unstable in it while using direct steering.
Piboso, PLEASE do something to bring back the usability of the directsteer=2 mode!
