The Japanese version of Gradius Galaxies--AKA Gradius Generation--features some Challenge Modes that are unlocked after playing through the game. These Challenges involve recovering at each of the game's checkpoints with no extra lives, and once you reach the next checkpoint, gameplay ends. This is Challenge A, which puts the difficulty at Loop 2 level.

Rather than record each checkpoint individually and stitch it all together, I thought it'd be more fun to stream going through it. This should hopefully give you a bit more insight as to what goes through my mind when I'm put in situations I'm not familiar with in these games, as well as demonstrate the amount of effort it can take to complete something that a lot of players (including myself) make look so effortlessly. There were a lot of very difficult checkpoints that I wasn't sure I'd be able to get past, but I'm glad to say I made it all the way through, and I had fun doing it. :)

Not looking forward to what lies ahead, though...
