Greetings one and all to a realm of commentated videos where I essentially critique a wide variety of games that I have enjoyed not just thoroughly, but also enable a high level of creativity in some form to make the experience special for me to talk about!

Now, about that 'Replay' function I mentioned before at the end of the first part of this Gran Turismo 2 commentary here...

So, the Replay Theatre is a function that (surprisingly!) was a function included all the way back in GT1, whereby any amazing or spectacular races done in that game's wide variety of tracks could be recorded and, using the limited PS1 memory card's now-pitiful (but was once impressive technically-speaking!) 1 megabyte to record these so that you can go back in time and watch them whenever you desire!

Undoubtly, since this is the sequel to that brave and innovative game for the car driving genre, this game further refines the replay aspect alongside generally being more awe-inspiring as this game's superior collection of cars alongside an even greater selection of race circuits will make this an excellent commentating point from here onwards!

So, starting off with the first recorded race is one that I can safely say that I am wholly fond of here, one of the first rides I had with my second car ever in the form of the sweet Mitsubishi 3000GT bought from the generally-named 'East City', (surprisingly I bought most of my cars from this place, both way back then and in more recent times! I have no idea why though exactly, probably because most companies over there also offered cheaper cars unlike in North City or West City?) where I drive on the very familiar Rome Circuit, this one being a shorter variation of the full track, and manage to win it big as I use all sorts of dirty tactics (ramming cars to avoid bumping into the sides and taking shortcuts where possible, all things you're MEANT to avoid in an actual realistic car race!) whilst being somewhat reckless and not actually driving how a highly-realistic driving simulator would expect you to!

Still, for what it's worth, this technique did actually win me races so long as I used them carefully and within the right moments whilst not getting too 'loose' with the controls, as it is quite easy for cars of all speeds to lose their grip and slide all over the road, DOUBLY so if you try it whilst on rough terrain! (It's why you have to make sure you don't take unnecessary risks and play it safe where need be)

Still, with that just being one of my several favourite cars to drive about in Gran Turismo 2 with, we get to another classy car of mines, the iconic Dodge Viper, as we tour the same track yet again, the Rome Circuit in what I think is a longer variation of it, as this race here demonstrates the higher-calibre of racing cars as most races have a Horse Power limit, with how your plain and ordinary cars ranging around 90-120HP will get decimated by a super-expensive and highly-modified racing car exceeding well over 600HP at that! (Also probably to balance the game from a gameplay perspective too)

After that comes a car that, at one point, my father actually owned! (That being the stylish and supremely-Hungarian Audi TT, lovely car in it's own right that drives with class!) With Autumn Ring being the next chosen circuit to see on this Critique Commentary, driving in what is one of the harder tracks for this game as the vast amount of rough terrain coupled with multiple tight turns does make it tricky to keep ahead of the competition without falling FAR behind!

Finally, the last of the four seen for this video here is the mighty Vector M12, based on some highly exotic car that also shares a similar name with the likes of the firearm Beratta M12, the flying boat bomber Macchi M.12 and the Majestic 12 organisation that is both known for investigating UFO conspiracy theories in the real world and playing a far more sinister and conspiratorial role themselves in the lands of sci-fi dystopia Deus Ex, as we get what is by far the best actual racing cars seen yet! (Not sure if I could honestly recognize any of those cars myself here, but I'm sure some car enthusiasts could point this out for me here!)

Obviously I'm no professional when it comes to ACTUAL pro racing, that much was already made clear with my best matches on Rocket League and I sincerely doubt it'll be any different here, but it is worth noting that the game does start to get noticeably easier once you get around to doing certain tracks.

What tracks are these specifically? Well, find out next time in the third and final part of this little series here!

In any case, I hope you enjoyed the video and any constructive comments or criticism is appreciated!
