Gran Tursimo 2 (PS1) Challenge Run - Skyline 280 MR Vs M12LM - Trial Mountain 30 Laps
2For my next run of the Trial Mountain 30 Laps to showcase which cars can beat the Vector M12 Le Mans Edition that are 4WD, i will be using the Nissan Skyline 280 Type MR. This is the lightest of all the 4WD Skylines that arent a special and that can actually enter this race and just like the Lancer V, once you apply the race mod on it, it will have a very high amount of downforce to work with and can make corners like its no big deal. However the this Skyline even through its the lightest overall, its still very heavy in fact its actually even heavier than the Vector M12 itself but thanks to its amazing cornering ability do to its very high downforce and good acceleration overall it can manage to win if you are consistent throuth the race which shouldnt be a problem since its very easy to drive. Its downforce also makes sure that the tires especially the front tires can last the required 15 laps for a 1 pit strategy as otherwise you would have to deal with bright red tires and that would result into a massive amount of understeer however just like with the Lancer, even almost fully dead front tires wont actually prevent it to make most corners especially at the beginning at full speed so thats another thing going for the Skyline as well. You wont be lapping the M12 anytime even with a similar tuning setup as the Lancer to exploit the physics of the game but you will build up a nice gap at the end if you are consistent and dont make major mistakes like spinning out.
