Another Grandia game, another hard type hack to attempt going through. The latest update (PC version only) can be picked up here:

It's been awhile, but with a new version of the hack recently released, it's time to tackle the last boss fight in the Birthplace of the Gods.

The Guardians are upgrades of the Naga Queens from Demon's Law. The names of their two main attacks haven't changed (Blizzard Edge & Freezing Eye), but they are now lightning elemental attacks. Freezing Eye in this battle lowers all attributes by 1 level for those in its path.

Physical attacks hit for ~1600-1700 damage with defense buffs. Shouldn't be too bad to bounce back from this.

They also can cast Snooze so you'll want sleep protection available for everyone to block this.

Strategy here is the usual buff party defenses and buff your party's attack and debuff the Guardians' defenses. You should be able to get through this fight without needing to lower their speed or attack if you're quick with the healing items/spells.

Damage wise, anything goes besides lightning based attacks. Spells like Tremor & Quake do quite well here for easy damage, at least 2k+ using Quake with Intelligence and two chants boosting earth damage.

For not having played this in awhile, things went pretty well. No hiccups besides me debating what to do at a few points in the fight.
