Some random battles from the 1st part of New Valmar.

First new enemy...Killer Trees. They have a pretty damaging physical attack with a chance of lowering some attributes by 1 level. They can also use Napalm Fruit for 3000+ damage and a chance of inducing paralysis. Napalm Fruit is fire elemental though so arming yourself with fire resistance will help if you don't want to bother with using cancelling skills.

Most of the rest of the enemies in this video are ones seen already...none being from the last dungeon thankfully.

At the end of the first area, you run into a pair of Valmar Moths and a Valmar Magna.

Valmar Magnas have powerful physical attacks (2500+ at least) and a couple physical skills that hit single targets with different effects. Magna Ripper has a cancel effect while Magna Boring can induce move & magic blocks.

Valmar Moths are probably the bigger danger here though. They don't do super high damage (only about 1200-1300 a hit), but that normal attack can induce a wide array of statuses. They're also really fast on the IP gauge.

Best idea for this group is to drop the Valmar Moths first, then focus on the Magna. Buffing defenses will help here.

Lots of exp from this fight due to the fact the Moths give 3332 EXP per kill with the Soul of a Hero in your possession.

Save point soon after this too thankfully.
