Fallen Star is a hack for Golden Sun that rebalances tons of things, increases the difficulty, and adds content such as new bosses/attacks/items.

The latest version can be downloaded from one of the following two places:

ROM shouldn't be hard to find on your own.

Finally, the actual journey begins. It kicks off with picking up the first Djinn, Flint. After a short tutorial, it's time to haul it to Vault. Enemies are actual challenges now that the intro is over, but you won't see that here because I run into all of one battle and Isaac's Sand Blades skill wipes the enemy out in one hit.

At Vault, we find out Hammel is a dingbat and would go north to a bandit infested Lunpa and risk getting captured because lol whatever.

After an item finding run in the town, the next goal is to pick up glass cannon Ivan and go probe the minds of a couple shady figures. Not a good sign for the bad guys when you run away from some innocent people which implies you did something not nice.

Finally, after getting armed with the money I have been building up, it's time to explore the inn more closely to find a hostage, three chests, and three very pain in the rear inducing enemies which must be fought.

This battle with two Thieves & a Bandit is a prime example of just how tricky fights are going to be in Fallen Star.

Both Thieves have a weak physical attack that only does a few points of damage, but can use Herbs to heal, Brute Force for 20+ damage to a single target, or Head Splitter for 30+ damage to a single target with a chance of instant death. Both Thieves regenerate 15 HP at the end of a turn.

The Bandit is a very deadly critter. It can act twice per turn, can use Sacred Water to heal everyone, can use Herbs like the Thieves, and has some nasty attacks. Physical attack for 25+ damage, Rending Shadow hitting the person it targets for close to 20 damage and the person on the immediate left and right of the targeted character for less, Slash for a nice chunk of damage and lowering Agility of the character hit, Slice which can do as much as 40 damage, and Head Splitter.

You're best off dealing with the Thieves first before focusing on the Bandit. Use your strongest attacks with each character (Sand Blades for Isaac, Flare or normal attack with the Battle Ax for Garet, and Air Render for Ivan). Ivan is the primary healer here due to his Agility and thusly being able to act before the enemies do.

With that, once I reach the main fight of this video, have fun watching my suffering. I actually do finish them off in the next video.
