Sorry for not doing debug videos in about a year.

Long ago I made a video about Grandia 3's debug stuff which seemed to only span across the battles and some misc stuff on the field maps with the first controller on the Japanese version. Little did I know that someone created a version for the American version. Not only that, but I was finally able to access the systems debugger so I could finally see some other interesting stuff.

There are two debug modes to this game, one called the Master debugger and the other serves as an access to the debug menus for the first controller. The master debugger operates completely on the second controller. To access, you need to press start on the second controller where you can scroll around using the d-pad and by selecting things with the square button. The master debugger also serves as a way to access the battle debug by pressing select while battling. To back out, you use the X button. With the debug that operates on the first controller, pressing select will give you what I would call a "convenient menu" where you can save your game, load your game, shop, and do whatever outside of mandatory areas. Pressing R2 will give you the debug dash, which allows you to run fast (very helpful for this game). L2 turns the collision off so you can walk through walls, and R3 can enabled the collision back on. You can moon jump by pressing up and down on the directional pad, and finally, you can get an excellent victory in battle by holding down L1 + L2 in battle.

Unfortunately, I noticed that there were some things not accessible on the debug menus. You'll see me in the video try to select certain things on the menu but it wont go. Anything with a + next to it seems to indicate debug menus that you can access. I'm not sure if this is true though, maybe I'm just missing something. But you can already checkout a ton of stuff from the get go. You can get all the items in the game with a simple button press, immediately jump to level 99, and jump to any map anywhere at any time. All in all, everything here is useful for something.

For those of you who would like to try it out, here are the codes:

Master Debug:

Game Shark 2 v3:

Xploder / Code Breaker:

Controller 1 Debug:
Action Replay (GS v1/2)

Xploder / Code Breaker:

GoldenFinger / AR Card:

RAW:

You don't have to activate the Controller 1 debug with a code, since in the video I show you how to activate it from the Master Debug. But it's nice to have both on from the get go.

Enjoy!
