Gravity Circuit: Part 15: Ark's Core (Final Boss, Normal Ending & Aftermath)
3With the help of Nega, the previous Gravity Circuit, Kai was able to venture deep into the Ark to track down where Kernel was going, as well as face the Ark's core...

Eventually, Kai catches up to Kernel at last... But Kernel was still possessed...
That's when the Ark was starting to slowly rise out of the earth. It was trying to leave into space!
That's when the "greater enemy" that Nega was talking about finally revealed himself. The core of the Ark, the one behind Kernel's brainwashing, the source of the Virus Army, and the one responsible for all of the trouble in this game...
The 10th Circuit: COMMANDER CIRCUIT!
The Ark they were in was just one of many. Each Ark is given 10 Circuits to carry out a fantastic mission spanning multiple millennia given to them by their mysterious Masters to claim and reshape many planets.
But on the planet they were on now, the other Circuits felt a change in themselves and wanted to stay. They wanted to be honored and worshiped by the bots of the planet, even picking up casual names such as "Kai" and "Cable".
But Commander saw the bots as nothing but disposable garbage, especially as the Ark can create these bots, itself. The other Circuit even modified these common bots to prevent Commander Circuit from controlling them. It took an excruciating amount of time to overcome this with controlling Kernel.
With all of the Circuits back in the Ark one way or another, the Ark can leave back into space. However, this will cause all of the bot inhabitants of the planet to deactivate, that is until those Masters appear before them someday...
To prevent this, the other 9 Circuit buried Commander deep within the Ark and never returned to it. However, they forgot to disable Commander's ability to create more bots.
So in revenge, he created the Virus Army. The first war of them had taken out all of the other Circuits, and then Commander was free to brainwash them all, except for the Gravity Circuit, that is, because his self-repair abilities kept preventing Commander from controlling him.
From what Commander could do left from this was create a second Virus Army. All in a long-term plot, alongside controlling Kernel, to bring all of the Circuits back to the core of the Ark so that it can finally re-commence its launch into space.
Kai refused to let this happen, as this would basically kill all of the planet's common bots. Commander decided to sic Kernel against him while he prepared for launch.

Kernel fights with his own moves such as having a Piledriver of his own. He's not much different from the Rebel Circuits.
But then his uses his Burst Technique: Burst Shield. You have to get rid of this shield before you can hit him again.

Kernel is fatally beaten...
Kai wants him to hang on for repairs, but it was too late to save him. He had to part from Kai by urging him to stop Commander Circuit before he basically kills everyone on the planet.
Kai was angry that Commander forced Kernel into this fate. He'll never forgive him for this!

For this final boss, Commander has three health bars from the very start.
Although his giant fists are used for attacks, you can also use them to help reach his head or hide behind them against other attacks. His roar is also an attack.
On his final health bar, he loses the hand but now summons Virus Army enemies. This can give you an opportunity to just throw them right as his face!

And thus, Commander Circuit's plot was thwarted.
But alas, he showed remorse and regret that he could no longer see the full beauty of space again...
Upon his destruction, he left behind his Circuit and that of the 8 Rebels.
That's when Nega stepped in with his own regrets. He and the Rebels wanted to forego their Masters' mission and live new lives with the common bots instead of leaving them behind to die. They couldn't survive hyper lightspeed travel on the Ark, either...
At the same time, Nega didn't like the idea of burying Commander Circuit in the Ark, but the Rebels had done so before he could intervene. If he just did, everything that transpired likely would've been much different.
To repent for his mistake, Nega decided to become the new Commander Circuit and seal himself in the Ark. He believed that Kai had earned to keep his own Gravity Circuit.
And so, the Ark was resealed back into the earth.

As he was looking from a distance, Kai noticed a lot of his friends from Guardian Corps HQ showing up to thank him for saving the world.
Kai was still hurt, however, but he did come around to tell them everything of what happened, such as the nature of their existence, the nature of his own... and the tragic loss of Kernel...

Following the credits, the game warps back to before the final trek through the Ark. There's still more I want to do, here, and some of it gets shown, here.
