Gravity Circuit: Part 7: Blade/Cooler Circuit Stage (100% Completed)
The 5th Rebel Circuit stage I take on is the Mountains, led by Blade, the Cooler Circuit.
There's a coolant system that's been cut off in those mountains, and Blade was likely responsible for it. Kai is to head there and defeat him do Kernel's repair crew can repair the pipelines in one peace.
Besides, Kernel wanted Kai to bring back some ice to cool his servos.
----------
This icy stages is a really pretty one with this game's purposely-limited color use.
There are several hazards and enemies here that can freeze Kai solid. Mash your buttons to break him free when this happens.
You'll also get to use fans to float your way over bottomless pits, stand on floating platforms, or even use your Hookshot to drag them down to reach secret areas.
----------
Eventually, Kai reaches Blade, the Cooler Circuit. Kai wants to reach those pipes, he'll have to beat Blade, first.
If Blade was a Pokémon, he'd be a Flying/Ice Type. All of his moves really bring this out, including his Burst Technique, Freezing Cycle.
Upon defeating him, Blade gestured to Kai that there's still more he has to learn of why the Rebel Circuits are behaving the way that they are.
----------
Kai returns to Kernel at HQ in one piece, and naturally Kernel's disappointed that he didn't bring back any ice for him.
If you found the Palette Chip of that stage, you can pay Prim to give you a Floating Blue alt color that lets you slide in midair. So basically an air dash.
Upon beating the Cooler Circuit, Nega will now sell his Gravity Freeze and Support Platform as Burst Techniques.
The NPC that gets to stay with HQ from Blade's stage will be... another dogbot: Yuki. This one can also be petted (though I still didn't know how to do this at the time like with Amadeus).
