This is my review of the Global Challenge online competitive mode of the racing video game Grid 2 (easily one of the best racing video games of all time). In this mode, challenges are proposed to you from week to week (they last one week and then change to all new challenges once the week is up). This is a great way to level up and earn currency (money) in the game in order to unlock and purchase new cars and tunings/upgrades for said cars. This online competitive mode allows you to compete for the best time/results against your friends and rivals, and the player with the best results at the end of the week obtains the highest payouts of experience and currency. Challenges vary amongst 4 types: Checkpoint (every time you cross a checkpoint, you earn a few seconds more of race time, and whoever travels the most distance {and therefore crosses the most checkpoints} wins); Overtake (every time you pass a computer controlled A.I. opponent without going off-track or without hitting anything, you earn a point multiplier, whereas going off-track or hitting something resets this point multiplier. Whoever has the highest score at the end wins); Drift (a drift competition where whoever performs the best drifts without spinning-out, hitting anything, or going off-track, wins); and Power Lap (whoever clocks the best time on the single lap time trial wins). This video will also show you PC gameplay footage of all four Global Challenge game modes.
