This is how I built my solenoid pcb needed for solenoid control with the great GUN4IR system. Remeber that this is just my take but I found it easy enough to follow VS the form factor when finished and easilly fit smaller guns with tight space.

What you need:
------------------------
1x Double-sided circuit breadboard
1x MOSFET (L type - Logic)
1x diode 1N4007
1x 1k Ohm 1/4W
1x 100k Ohm 1/4W

Soldering iron
5x Wires (GND/VCC/S1/S2/signal)

Good to have:
----------------------
Shrink tubing
Patiens

Same setup can be used to run a motor just as a solenoid, just use the output 5 on the arduino instead of 7. Needed for bigger motors otherwise the transistor setup can be used.

Good luck. 😊
