GTAV: Glitch Package (Part 1)
GTAV glitches! patch 1.15
twitter.com/findlestick
I don't know much about GTAV glitches so don't know if all this is known, except for the original buffered-ledge glitch which I tested at a subscriber's request. I've expanded on the basic instructions that were given, no idea if it's known.
Points of interest:
0:00 Buffered ledge-grab on a building.
0:16 Gutter breach: park a car at an angle near specific, rare gutters, you'll breach floor during cover.
0:35 "Pipe" break-out: an active Wanted Level lets you use weapons inside. Start a fire and use pipe, you get a break-out and then stuck.
1:07 Wine break-out: as above.
1:23 Permanent explosion-cam: activate a buffered ledge on a car near a cliff, then zip to it once it's exploding off cliff.
2:04 Activating prompts upon death:
I buy 'Hen House' upon death, the purchase carries-over death.
2:28 With different timing, u buffer a prompt upon death. The buffered prompt can then be activated by pressing a different prompt of its kind, even by a different character.
I buffered a Trevor property prompt (hangar), but I made Michael activate it by pressing one of his own property prompts (Doppler Cinema).
2:52 Michael presses his prompt, the game activates Trevor's buffered prompt from earlier. Hangar scene plays, then Doppler Cinema scene plays. The scene has missing graphics since Michael's moved to the hangar. Wonder how many prompts u can buffer like this? Need to test all prompts.
4:00 Glasses glitch: activating camera glasses as you get on a vehicle makes Michael use the vehicle while invisible. I jumped out of a chopper like this, Michael is then standing in the sky, invisible. Exiting glasses makes him fall.
5:19 Ball break-outs: you can cause break-outs at the moment that "Chop" (your dog) places the ball in your hand. If you begin using Jerrycan at that moment, the ball is cloned. U can clone it infinitely since it doesn't use up petrol.
5:49 Ball break-out also lets you break-out of cover. Start aiming and take cover just as Chop places the ball in your hand. U get stuck to the cover-point, can only face one direction, can only walk on-the-spot and most inputs won't work.
6:05 Aiming Break-out: switching to a weapon while trying to shoot just as you clone a ball, makes you gets stuck in a state of weaponless aiming. You hold the ball as if it was a gun, Ball break-out has potential.
6:27 Jerrycan being held in a gun stance, two methods:
a. Aim a rifle while squatting, then switch to Jerrycan.
b. Throw a final weapon (grenade etc) and the game will automatically switch weapons. Squat, aim and switch to Jerrycan.
6:49 Buffered Ledge-grabs: I tested this glitch as-per a subscriber's request. With the instructions I'd been given, the only thing I could really do with the glitch was zip from point A to point B. Couldn't take the glitch further than a conversation's duration, couldn't activate prompts with the glitch active, entering vehicles ended the glitch, as did most actions. Maybe there was more to it?
For what it's worth here are my findings:
7:35 U don't need to be on a call to activate the glitch, just need to be holding the phone. This alone lets you take the glitch a further distance, albeit in a painfully slow manner. I'm assuming this was known.
7:46 I get on a bike to quickly move far away from my set-up (as your character begins to get in a vehicle you can exit the phone). At this point, the glitch is "turned off", meaning that you won't zip to your buffered ledge if you get off the vehicle, even if your phone's active.
8:02 U can then "turn on" the glitch by taking out your phone again, getting off your vehicle and taking cover, at which point you can put the phone away. The upside of this is that you're free from the restrictions of the phone, without ending the glitch. You can now use vehicles, use your gun and activate prompts while the glitch is still active.
8:11 Now get out of cover, you'll zip to your buffered ledge.
8:27 Breaching Michael's house: the distance you travel to a buffered ledge is determined by the duration of your climb-animation. Shorter ledges take less time to climb than high walls, so the higher the wall, the further you zip. Also, if you've gone too far from your buffered ledge you can still zip towards it, but once the climb-animation ends, your zip will begin to end. So, a strategic set-up allows you to breach into any structure.
8:57 You can use boats with the glitch active.
9:05 Zipping from activated prompts:
Shooting range: Trevor is missing from the gun range except for some ear protectors and glasses. You're then stuck.
9:28 Darts prompt: you get a weird scene with missing graphics.
9:52 Tennis prompt makes you invisible.
11:02 Starting to zip to an exploding vehicle, that has a buffered ledge, causes the following:
11:43 Floor breaches for quick getaways.
12:03 Super Sprint 1, running at super speeds under the map.
12:33 Super Sprint 2, run very fast, very high into the sky.
