GTX 1060 vs RX 480 Frame Time Analysis - Sniper Elite 4 DX11 & DX12 [SAN CELINI]
Set in WW2, Sniper Elite 4 offers open world stealth action as we play our way through Sicily as an Allied sniper. SE4, developed by British game studio Rebellion, is the latest game to support both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 rendering APIs. In this video review, we compare GTX 1060 and RX 480 on the island of San Celini.
With ultra settings at 1080p both cards produce excellent frame times. The uplift using DX12 on the RX 480 is nothing short of amazing, the average for Polaris 10 goes from 79 to 91 fps, a 15% performance increase.

A dedicated recording PC with a capture card was used to save the game footages and consequently no performance penalty was incurred on the reviewed systems. For convenience, games are installed on an external SSD and connected to the reviewed PC via USB3.1 interface.
