The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 3 continues in Minecraft 1.20.2!
In this tutorial we begin the process of draining an Ocean Monument, with the goal of converting it into a Guardian Farm for xp and prismarine.

First, we look at the spawnable area for guardians, which begins at the base of an ocean monument, and briefly explain the mechanics of soul sand bubble columns. Then we plot out the area of water we will remove, drawing a large circle perimeter with the help of plotz.co.uk.

Once this circle is created, we surround the monument with a wall of glass and begin filling it with a grid of sand, using a helpful piston-pushing contraption to help us place sand instead of doing it manually. By the end of the episode, we're able to start draining the water from 4x4 columns and reclaiming the sand to cover the remaining area.

Along the way we look at how useful invisibility potions are when dealing with guardians, how raster graphics software can help you plan a minecraft build, and why you should always double-check whether you've collected your shulker boxes.
