http://atomicgamer.com - At a recent visit to ArenaNet's offices in Bellevue, WA, we got the chance to play their MMORPG Guild Wars 2, and record our experiences with Fraps. The computers we played on weren't terribly well-equipped so I apologize for the frame drops and generally low quality, but rest assured that when not recording, the game runs far better. This is part one of two of World vs. World footage in a mostly raw, unedited format, posted quickly so that those who are thinking of buying the game before it's released can see what they are in for with the beta events.

World vs. World is set up similar to DAOC's Realm vs. Realm with three teams, but instead of three factions on one server, it's three *servers* (the "winners" rank up, the losers rank down, and server matchups rotate every couple weeks) going at it. This footage was to demonstrate how it works, with keep attacks, defense, and supply. Unfortunately, the whole thing was just a little bit disorganized, as many players on our side had never done PvP and the ArenaNet dev trying to give us orders was having some issues. We were also learning the map design and how to use siege engines on the fly. If you see something incredibly stupid or broken on this video, that's probably why - this was the first attempt playing this for nearly everyone on our side. We only had a few dozen here, but the game supports hundreds of players on the field at once in the WvW zone.
