This is the Shadow Behemoth event and it's level 15 located in Godslost Swamp in Queensdale, it's probably the first world boss players would really experience since most new players pick humans. The event in question is the final in the meta event, Secrets in the Swamp.

There is a pre-event before this that involves portals popping up at various Queensdale locations, they're easy. There's also another event where you just destroy portals at the swamp and then you'll face the Shadow Behemoth.

It has changed since the last time I recorded it, it used to be easily beatable within 3-5 minutes but now the Behemoth will last a bit longer. It summons more than 3 portals now and it unleashes veterans and champions out of the portals when there are tons of players. The event is also now possible to fail if 15 minutes pass....

It also seems to be a little less like a pinata, you used to be able to hit it way more before it created the portals and went invulnerable. Well with it lasting longer at least that'll help new players hit gold on it easier.

I used my Ranger for this battle, Jaguar probably isn't the best pet but this isn't really all that hard anyhow...I just like my Jaguar, when in serious buisness mode I'd recommend using a ranged pet like a Spider or a Devourer.

Man I don't even know how to build my Ranger anymore, I used to love this build that was a Beast-Master type build but now it just doesn't seem viable anymore or they put some of the traits on different trees so running Longbow/Greatsword won't work..

My apologies for the lag too but well, Megaservers means mega lag problems and not knowing who these people-err nametags are.

Also note you can get the Dispelling Shadows achievement here, I already have it so no idea if we qualified for it during this fight. To get it you must Close the portals opened by the Shadow Behemoth in less than 20 seconds. This was easier to do when it summoned only 3 vs like the 13 it summons now. Still is possible but generally seems the zerg just go around a certain direction all together instead of splitting into two going around as I noticed when I went the opposite way.
