19Have fun breaking your wrists to do basically 90% of the tempest benchmark. There are some clear improvements from the beta but Anet doesn't seem anywhere near close yet, when it comes to figuring out spear as a pve weapon.
This is an ok attempt from my first day in the training area, there are certainly things that can be improved and i think 42k should be very much doable. The problem is that this rotation feels like a lot, both the pace, the amount of skills you need to press in each attunement and the rather fast attunement swapping (it doesn't let you catch your breath by auto attacking for some time in an attunement because it auto attacks only a few times in fire and earth).
I will wait and see what other people come up with and what numbers they get but in my opinion it definitely needs a buff. even if 42k isn't horrible (that is what hammer catalyst does and you can see how i play it).
i had better numbers during every phase in some other attempts but i managed to pull off a good finisher here. in some other attempts i also had 40-40,5k second number but they never went anywhere. I will post a random log in the comments that i got later, when arcdps started working. All the damage isn't being calculated correctly right now anyway. Also a 41,8k opener at the end which is the best i got, although after a certain point i could get consistent 41k+ openers but couldn't sustain the damage later on.
