Guild Wars 2 WvW - Necromancer June 23rd Trait Revamp - Power Necro Spite Soul Reaping Curses
A short video testing out the new June 23rd trait revamps for a power necro build. In this video I took Spite, Soul Reaping, and Curses. I kept Spite and Soul Reaping the same as my previous tests, but this time took Curses instead. Here's the link to the video with Death Magic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wenn8u1flWU

Notable Pro's:
-Weakness on crit, and aoe weakness. Enfeeble is a great trait. There's no ICD on aoe weakness, so anytime you flash DS, you lay weakness to your foes.
-Plague Sending is pretty awesome, a key trait in this spec. Nothing like offloading a bunch of conditions on someone.
-Furious Demise is nice, although I'm built to have 100% crit in DS already. You can flash DS to gain fury for 5 seconds every 7 seconds though.
-I took Terror for giggles. Terror is a key trait in this spec, however it suits better for condi builds. Terror's damage scales with your condition damage.
-Lots of good condi friendly traits.
Notable Con's:
-Lack of spike damage protection that I saw from Death Magic's increased toughness, protection, and condi damage reduction. Or the sustain from Blood Magic's siphon heals.
-Lack of group utilities that everybody's excited about in Blood Magic spec.
-While Plague Sending is very nice, I prefer Shrouded Removal because I can choose when to cleanse. Plague Sending is based on crit, on a rather long cooldown. It is a very good trait don't get me wrong, if you take Curses you should have it. But I've noticed after Plague Sending procs, I get conditions on me again right away. It happens in WvW. If I went with Shrouded Removal, I could stay in DS and have auto cleanse every 3 seconds, and flash DS whenever I want more condi removal. For soloers though, Plague Sending is too good in any 1v1 situations. It's just not as useful as Shrouded Removal in large scale WvW combat.
All in all, Curses is great for condi builds. It doesn't offer enough for me to choose it for power builds.
I left the stats screen up so I can look back at it later to compare how the stats peak, average, and dip during combat with different traits.
Music added to mask teamspeak chat during combat (random music from Youtube's free audio library)
Thanks to Commander Nitejack for pinning up this afternoon, it was rough with 2v1 skill lag was terrible. But hey, we fought hard and it was fun.

About my videos:
I make these videos for fun. I like to capture good fights, as well as give shoutouts to commanders that did well making the calls leading folks to victory. Sometimes I capture videos just so I can look back and improve upon my own build and technique. I also like to see my own mistakes so I can learn from them.
These are not videos made to showoff or brag. The way I play these characters are also by far not perfect at all. I play strictly WvW in group/zerg battles, so my builds are not ideal for sPvP, solo roaming, or PvE.
