This video is created in response to a post about whether Tempest is viable in WvW.
Here I show how I would play a roamer tempest using the fresh air build and using staff as the weapon. My equips are concentrated towards berserker / dragon's stats.

Detailed introduction:

Pros:
1. Can also be used in a group setting (but generally speaking you need to adapt to multiple roles including support / cc / damage)
2. Can be used to control enemy positions (due to using staff) much easily compared to other elementalist weapons. Good for both offensive and escape purposes.
3. Can have permanent swiftness upkeep which is useful if you are still working on warclaw reward track (assuming you are running arcane trait).
4. Able to handle most WvW roaming on solo. Even possible to take out a tower on your own if you have the time and patience for it, assuming the enemy doesn't check out the tag (requires both lesser and elite glyph of elementals). Not shown in this video as it will drag the video too long..
5. Doesn't require a specific rotation. The key point is to switch attunement after overloading air, so that any critical strike will refresh air attunement and you can repeat it afterwards.

Cons:
1. Weak in 1v1 PVP. It can work if the enemy is not very good with their rotations / positioning, but this is not something that would happen often to anyone who is seasoned in WvW.
2. May requires conditioning yourself to get used to the controls. You have to be very familiar with what skills are you supposed to use in which situation. Even though there is no specific rotation, it is essential to use skills that adapts to your current situation to maximise their effectiveness. Conditioning can be done through both PVE and PVP.

Variations:
1. Use fire trait instead of arcane trait. This can push your damage faster because you gain bonus power when switching to fire, and the sunspot's flame aura will give you additional fury (in conjunction with zephyr's boon from air trait)
2. Use water trait instead of arcane trait. This is used partially for support but also to buff your vulnerability stacks (air overload causes vulnerability on enemies that it hits). You may want to socket the trait to grant auras to nearby allies when you grant yourself aura. That way, the fury buff will be applied not just to yourself but also to teammates (in conjunction with zephyr's boon from air trait).
