Gungrave GORE (2022, Sony PlayStation 4) No Commentary Gameplay
Gungrave GORE was super unexpected but welcomed… at least by me. I feel like there’s hate out there for this game and the older ones but I really enjoyed this one and the older ones. It pretty much felt like if the PS2 game was made today with PS4/PS5 graphics. The art direction was interesting because the city levels was filled with neon lights and neo-tokyo cyberpunk vibes which was a bit unexpected but what was unexpected was the variety of level locations. Something about the mechanics felt different from the PS2 games but honestly the gameplay felt different between part 1 and 2 so I wasn’t too shocked. It would’ve been nice to have a really fleshed out game or some type of open world aspect, I must admit there was something special about keeping it really simple. It kinda felt like an on rails shooter where I could see the character in third person if that make sense. This game may not be for everyone, but it was definitely for me.
