Wargames Atlantic- Giant Spiders- sometimes with guns (and hats)!
The original files I recorded for this video seem to have disappeared from all my devices, so I sat down prior to school starting again and did a quick video about this kit.
At first this is a daunting kit. There's just so many legs... plus space bits, cyber legs, guns, cocooned bodies, smaller spiders... and the weird arrowhead shaped things I have yet to discern what they are or where they go.
Wargames Illustrated had a very helpful blog post going into better detail on how to build these chaps. This helped me get the basics down on how to start building these guys-

The fact that this kit even exists is already a big plus in my book. Are there cheaper and easier to work with alternatives? Yeah, and for many people, that's probably fine. I love the fact that I can build this in whatever bizarre combination I feel like, or scifi them up for future Stargrave warbands. Plus they work great across a variety of different games and time periods. Lord of the Rings? Sure. Weird new xenos faction? Why not. Something stirring in Felstad? Probably want to leave it be.
Plus, if you want hats for your spiders, I recommend checking out the Pike & Shotte infantry sprues!
Now how am I going to make melee weapon wielding spiders? That's the important question!
