Dad by the Sword is an Indie, Action Roguelike Hack and Slash Dungeon Crawler, an FPS packing Procedural Generation and an engaging melee combat system, along with the taste of the mighty boot from Dark Messiah of Might and Magic!
When in doubt, kick em down!
Or cut em up!
Disarming your opponents is a tactic here, as you can cut your foes to literal pieces, taking off sword arms to make foes less threatening, a leg to slow them down, or the top of their head to stop em dead!
The combat is a bit like Mount and Blade here; holding the RMB and moving the mouse towards the side of the attack, left, right, or up, blocks a hit.
Melee strikes use the LMB, and you drag the mouse towards a specific direction you want to attack, causing location based damage, or dismemberment on a hit.
The Dungeons are Procedural, so each randomized run feels a bit different, with different monster spawns, room locations, and traps to use or avoid.
Traps like spike walls, rising platforms, and pits, which you can 100% kick enemies into! Ya!
Long Live The Mighty Boot!
Note: This is an early demo of Dad by the Sword, so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Dad by the Sword is offering a fun, Indie Action Roguelike FPS Dungeon Crawler, where the Hack and Slash is very literal, as the disarming and dismembering of your many murderous foes attests!
