Hades 3 sure looks... different
On a serious note, what a rad game. Must be the first time I spent hours on a TMNT game since I was like 6 lol. There might be less freedom of choice in regard to shaping your build here than in a maxed playthrough in Hades 1 (Hades 2; I'm not quite so sure; the shortage of opportunities to select boons in the demo is actually one of the things that made this game so refreshing for me), but it's surprisingly well-made and is certain to have lasting appeal for fans of the two (1.75?) Hades games. It is, doubtless, a copycat in more ways than one, but one that portrays the mythology of the TMNT universe that some of us grew up with pretty convincingly, with some nice gameplay mechanics to boot.
Much like the original Hades, the RNG makes every run's build unique and different from the previous one. There appears to be some reason in opting for a build stacking everything unto Shuriken Dash, and this video shows me get the highest number of shuriken I've ever had, still failing before the 3rd area bosses, Bebop and Rocksteady, as I haven't quite got it yet. You need just the right amount of concerted effort and pure RNG luck to result in a luck that really wipes the floor with the dash, attacking things while dashing away from harm.
Remarkably fun; didn't see it coming.
