Digimon Hacker's Memory No Digivolution Part 10: 5x Eater Fight

• Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's ...
The last boss battle at the end of chapter 10, in which we face three Humanoid Eaters and two Purebreed ones. These bosses are hard to forget for anybody who's played the game on Hard Mode, or watched my No Digivolution run in it. Hard Mode mechanics in OG Cyber Sleuth were so oppressive that piercing or fixed damage moves were the only hope of dealing damage to the eaters in CS, or most bosses for that matter. With Hacker's Memory and eventually the Complete Edition releasing, piercing moves have been nerfed somewhat, with Hard Mode bonuses being lower, letting you dabble in other strategies as well. This video is a demonstration of both.
There are two Eater types, and the Purebreed type represented by two Eaters will go down the soonest. They're close to being taken out by a single MegaKabuterimon Horn Buster due to their low HP, with an MT move like Myotismon's being enough to pick them off when used in succession. Three attacks is all it takes to leave just three Humanoid eaters on the field.
Those will constantly increase their INT while lowering Defence to power themselves up, meaning a strategy revolving around using normal physicals by the best our roster has to offer will quickly outdamage MegaKabuterimons' piercing damage output. Sprite and Paralyse status can be inflicted on the party throughout the battle, and during this one it's the former that I keep seeing with comic frequency. Poor SkullGreymon barely had a chance to attack.
Cherrymon sticks around for heavy MT chip while multiple Eaters are alive but switches out for Crescemon when the enemy ranks dwindle. Its animation is a great way to end the battle.
The array of Ultimates to scan and recruit greatly improves next chapter, so looking forward to a different party composition for the new challenges ahead of us is reasonable.
