Chapter Information: Returning to the surface, Bad Cop and Wilson arrive at the office complex building that has been turned into a command center by the Combine army.
After meeting up with the Combine Advisor and following a crucial discussion, Bad Cop and Wilson are given an APC to drive across the various frozen tundras, ruined highway roads, and crumbling tunnels on the Arbeit complex roads. A Combine Hunter is also dispatched to protect and guide Bad Cop and Wilson as well.
During the long journey to Arbeit #2, Bad Cop and Wilson explore various ruined outposts and structures that are littered with Resistance forces or Xenian wildlife that attempt to halt the duo's progress at numerous points.
Most notably, the Resistance begins deploying tougher Resistance forces for Bad Cop to fight such as Scout Cars, Rebel Brutes, Rebel Jumpers, and Vortigaunts.
Bad Cop and Wilson also encounter familiar Xenian aliens including Bullsquids, Headcrabs, and Zombies along with Pit Drones, a mysterious alien species that isn't connected to the prior Xenian aliens seen before by Bad Cop and Wilson.
Eventually, Bad Cop and Wilson arrive at a large communications outpost and are forced to go through a series of different puzzles to gain access to a door blocking the road ahead which is filled with bizarre anomalies, Headcrabs, Zombies, and Bullsquids.
Bad Cop and Wilson also bond together more becoming closer allies in the process with the duo slowly getting closer towards Arbeit #2.
