Half life 2 (M.A.T.V.) Part 10
1I find this level rather fascinating from a psychological point of view. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems like a common nightmare is falling from a great height. I can remember specific nightmares were I was in a car that lost control over a bridge, and we go falling into the water. Or I am on a bridge that is in disrepair, and a section that should have been marked off, wasn't and I go in. With that background this level has scared me in a very different kind of way. Emotions run high in a dream, so recalling a bad one creates an intense emotion of fear. That's just going through the level once though. Don't complete it, you have to get past this fear twice, with the second time adding gunfire on top of it all. As I've gotten older, this level feels less like an ordeal, and more on a shot of adrenalin, much like how a sky diver feels before jumping out of a plane. The fear is still there, but instead of making me freeze up, it gives me energy to keep going. I hope you will join me next time for a game of "The Floor is Lava", a recreation of the Omaha beach invasion, and a prison break. Also be warned the next 2 episodes has some gamer rage. Then again that might be an incentive to watch. Until then, keep having fun!
