This time I sync the audio with a pistol shot at the beginning and end to make sure the audio is right. So no audio out of sync this time!

Frankly I'd find the game more tense if I didn't have to aim so carefully with the weapons. Hopefully the game loop involves enough activity to make the action feel more fluid. I know the game is still just introducing me to concepts right now. Still, Half Life 2 was much better at making me feel like I was under threat when it wanted to give me practice. One thought that occurred to me was if the headcrabs showed some hunter instinct, like maneuvering quickly to corner me where I have less mobility, and then hopping at me in more intelligent fashion, that would absolutely get me more intense. Instead they just fling themselves in a straight line after a pause, and it's up to me to move laterally to avoid it.

Also, why in the room where I got the shotgun did Alyx talk about 'getting out of here' when there was no exit? I jumped down the pit and died! Pff, bad form, Valve. Bad!

Again I'll stress that the visual quality of the video, despite being recorded directly on the Quest, looks a lot better than what's in the viewer. I've never tried any of the really nice devices like the Valve Index, so I can't really gauge the Quest's quality against the others. But it's serviceable, it just doesn't feel deeply detailed in the headset.

Running i7 8700, RTX 2060 SUPER, 16GB RAM, Official Oculus Link cable at 2Gbps (no adapters - direct Type C jack on back of mobo to Quest, enough power to charge).
