If anything pulls me out of immersion, it's how heavy the Quest is. I modded it with the FrankenQuest setup before I started the game at video #1, but frankly, the whole thing is around 800-900 grams (more than its original 570 grams) so it sits heavy on the head. I also added the AMVR face cushions and nose guard. The nose guard presses down on the sides of my nose when the headset slips down, so I'm not sure if I'm going to keep that part - it doesn't block much light anyway. I might go back to the original Quest face cushion. It's all distracting when I'm trying to deal with in-game mood. About half way in to this video, I stopped noticing so much.

The quality of the game is starting to ramp up. There are some nasty obstacles and environments in this one. And... I can't fight Combine like Gordon Freeman did... I also didn't find enough resin to upgrade my guns more. Shame that. I'd really like to get burst mode for my pistol - then I can be Real Alyx. Aiming with the guns feels more frustrating rather than intuitive. Hopefully I'll get more of the hang of it. It could be the weight of the headset throwing me off.

21:56 totally missed that door.

I usually face one direction in my room the whole time I'm playing, but this time I got turned around with all the quick maneuvering and looking around during some fights.

Anyway, here's part 3. I forgot to set a timer so that the video doesn't go too much over an hour. I'll try to make it an hour next time. At least I stopped this one at a pretty good spot.

Running i7 8700, RTX 2060 SUPER, 16GB RAM, Oculus Link official cable, with 2Gbps connection (Type C jack on back of mobo, no adapters, enough power to charge).
